WHY WE MAKE FILMS

We make creative stories on urgent social and political subjects.

We see storytelling as a form of love and friendship, an act of giving and sharing. We try to work from a deep place of humility and generosity.

Our goal is ego-less filmmaking.

Our favorite word is kaupapa, meaning moral and spiritual purpose in Māori. Ours is to make films that lead to a more just world and to help fight for the Rights of Nature.

We believe cinema has the transformative power to enlarge our hearts and inspire us to embody our better selves.
